You're assuming in this article that planning for a successful retirement involves obsessive stress and working at a job you don't like.
I think planning and implimenting that plan for a successful retirement (without stressing about it) is important. You have NO idea what medical advances might play out over the next decades to prolong life and the farther you are away from retirement years, the more you might have a longer life.
Or you might never retire because you enjoy your work life.
That doesn't mean you postpone living until you retire. Don't assume you'll live to retire (or live long in retirement) and tackle some of your bucklet list items while you're relatively young and healthy and can enjoy the adventures.
